Port Stephens Parasailing

Port Stephens Parasailing provides the most awe-inspiring view of the marine wonderland below, the parasailing trip can take high flyers either solo or tandem soaring up to 100m above the water.

The colourful ballooning parachute is winched into the air from a speed boat and enables parasailers to see Port Stephens from a rare and fascinating angle. The sight from above of many of the bay’s approximately 80 dolphins is an exhilarating visual treat.

Nelson Head Heritage Lighthouse and Reserve

The reserve for Nelson Head Lighthouse Cottage and Rescue Station Reserve, nestling within its white picket fence, is situated on a lawn headland that rises some 53 metres (175 feet) just inside the entrance to Port Stephens. In 1875, the headland was chosen as the lighthouse site because it provided the best views of the extensive waters of the Port - and still does!

Lighthouse Cottage is a historic lighthouse keeper's cottage offers visitors beautiful views, local history, photographs, maps and information on marine rescue. It now operates as a museum of local history.

See the working Coastal Patrol radio base, staffed by volunteers, is open to visitors. Tea Rooms are adjacent to the museum is the tea rooms where visitors can enjoy light refreshments whilst enjoying magnificent views from the covered terrace.
